Meet Kay Biga & Pat Spott

My BYC story started about nine years ago. My mother and I were looking at buying property in Bayfield and found the development at Brickyard Creek. Back at that time my kids were much younger and it just wasn’t the right time.
Fast forward four years. My husband, Pat Spott, and I went over to Bayfield for dinner. I wanted to stop by BYC to see what progress had been made. The very persuasive Susan Keachie showed us around the place. There was a Meadow unit under construction in BYC II and the owner was not going to be able to complete the purchase. Susan and Bob Davidson allowed us to step into the shoes of the original buyer and we got credit for some of his deposit. The bottom line is we went for dinner and left with a purchase agreement for a cottage. My favorite part of the BYC experience is sitting in a rocking chair on the screened in porch, buckwheat pancakes at Egg Toss and the effect the place has on my kids. Because of the peace and quiet, they fall asleep on the couch almost the minute we get there.
Over the years I have gotten to know many of our neighbors. I have especially enjoyed working with my fellow board members and the Vision Committee. That’s my story.
