2021 Kayak Removal

As someone who moved to Lake Superior because I once experienced snowflakes on the Northshore in July, I cannot fully express my giddiness over dew points in the thirties and the cool, crisp air that now welcomes us each morning. October is the best!

Unfortunately, that does mean that the water season is drawing to a close. I have already noted that there are far fewer boats on the kayak rack, but for the rest of you hardcore paddlers, the Board of Directors and I ask that you remove your canoe, kayak, or paddleboard by the end of the month.

I know some have used the kayak rack for year-round storage in the past, but I need to do some maintenance work and remove any abandoned boats or those that get zero use. It is apparent that we no longer have room for them. I greatly appreciate you honoring and carrying out this request. If you need assistance in any way, please get in touch with me.

Next year, we are going back to a numbering system to assign spaces and possibly a small fee to fund a new and much-improved rack.

By the way, if you are looking to sell your kayak(s), I can connect you with those looking to buy.

Again, thanks for removing your boat or paddleboard by October 31st.

Have a great weekend!
