Over the course of the past 18 months, the Brickyard Creek Board has been incredibly busy. As our community grows and evolves, there are increasing needs to respond to both challenges and opportunities. We found we lacked the tools needed to make the best-informed decisions or recommendations.
The Vision Committee took on the challenge. The survey completed in summer, 2019 gave us good information on the features and benefits that brought people to our community and the features and benefits that keep people in our community. The discussion around these results led us to the realization that BYC needs a plan.
We then moved through the Strategic Planning Process including:
- Reviewing and updating the Vision, Mission and Values Statements.
- Completing a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). This was quite a difficult task to complete via Zoom!
- Drafting a 2-3-year Strategic Plan that identifies 3 critical areas: Governance, Development, and Community & Communications
The resulting BYC Community Strategic Plan was approved by the BYC Board in May of 2020. The full plan is linked below. We encourage you to take time to review the plan and think about its overall impact. Also, think about how you can become an active partner in implementing this plan.
